Thump thump

My heart was in my mouth this afternoon as I watched the Pulapaki Ferry towing the stricken Punalei fuel tanker into the Pangai Harbour. The tanker has no control due to a damaged prop shaft which happened on her way back from Fiji after refilling. I do not know how many thousands of liters of fuel the tanker can hold but she was fully loaded and this was really a disater just waiting to happen. Fair play to the Captain of the Pulapaki though, he brought her in nicely along side the wharf without incident. I stayed on Malolo ready to get out of there at the first sign of a calamity, which is what I honestly expected. I am already very suprised that the Pulapaki had the guts to pull that tanker, especially with a full load. Anyway, the Pulapaki is back, seems to be working obviously and who knows, we may even get supplies back into the group this week or next.
