Getting wet again

After our nice long holiday in Europe (another Irish wedding) we returned to Ha'apai three weeks ago. Apart from the garden having grown into what resembled a nature reserve and minor pig damage due to the shed that used to be part of our fence having collapsed during cyclone Wilma, everything was just fine. Neither Wilma nor the mini tsunami generated by the big earthquake in Japan had done any damage. Our boat Malolo got some TLC, a new lick of paint and got in the water right in time before the first customers were booked in for diving. Since then we have been out pretty much every day, conducting an Open Water Diver Course for 4 Japanese volunteers and a lot of fun diving, too.

I am glad I can say that also the dive sites in Ha'apai have not suffered from the cyclone and Fale Anga, Atlantis, The Port au Prince, The Raptures and Lafalafa were as stunning as always with Whitetip and Grey Reef Sharks, Napoleon Wrasses, Pipefish, Nudis, Eagle Rays, a Titan Triggerfish, Moray Eels, Batfish and lots of the classical reef fishes.

We've got lots more diving coming up and are currently in the process of building a new boat for the coming season, so there's going to be lots of news.
